Adonis - Planet: Venus
Celeste Korsholm <[email protected]> In Greek mythology Aphrodite (Venus) loved Adonis, the extremely handsome young hunter who was killed by a wild boar. As Aphrodite grieved, she changed his dripping blood into the red anemones that bloom and die so quickly each spring. Adonis represents Planet Venus on the Planetary Council. He is responsible for the evolution of love and beauty on Earth. The golden peacock on his helmet is the phoenix, a symbol of all the beautiful forms, such as peacocks and unicorns, brought to Earth from Venus. |
