Known for his inspired depiction of light, Daniel B. Holeman invites the
viewer to dive into a deeper dimension of consciousness while viewing his
paintings. The light of truth shines into the darkness, reminding us of the
ever-present light behind the veil of the shadow. The artwork touches many
levels of one's being.
A self-taught painter turned computer artist, Daniel also does graphic art
and web graphics. His own web site, Awaken Visions, is a special world to
explore and enjoy - a domain of truth and beauty: Visions and words of
inspiration, insight and soul awakening. Dolphins, whales, angels, mandalas,
sacred spaces, light geometry and landscapes of the imagination. A place of
truth about the path of transformation and soul evolution, awakening and
remembrance - coming home. Daniel reminds others that the solution to all
woes is found by looking within and being in Truth.

I've been on the path of self-discovery and the quest for meaning in life and
fulfillment since I was about 15 years old - that being my main focus and
pursuit.
Someone pointed out to me some years ago that my name made a statement: As if
an instruction from my parents - "Daniel, be whole man." (Daniel B. Holeman)
That has been the quest of my life - to become whole. Since then I've been
signing all my paintings with my real name Daniel B. Holeman.
And what does it mean to me to be "whole"? To me it means to be unified; to be
one with life and God; to no longer be split between my "lower nature" and my
true SELF; to not be split between my ego-identity and my true-divine SELF; to
BE my true self and at one with all. Or, in old terms, a full restoration of my
fall from grace! (helluva fall!). To be whole and still a man. To be true. To be
in Truth. To be HOME.
The artwork I do is simply what turns me on and sometimes it seems to capture
feelings and whispers of the visits I have had of Home. Some people are affected
very strongly and others are not. I think it speaks of dimensions of
consciousness we have all visited - some remember and some don't.
